Welcome to a new school year McKinley Bulldogs! My name is Katie Jay, and I have the pleasure of serving as your PTA president this year. I fell in love with the McKinley community when my twin boys started kindergarten three years ago, and I’m looking forward to working with this dedicated, creative community to make the 2023-2024 school year a smashing success.

Fall is a busy time at McKinley, and as we kick off the new year here are two events to note:

• MAZE Day is this Sunday, August 20, from 9 - 11AM in the South Yard. Come wind your way through a “maze” of community partners - PTA, BCE, McKinley Spirit Wear, Dads’ Club, Harvest Festival, Scouts, Burlingame Library, fingerprinting for volunteer clearance, and much more! (In accordance with current BSD procedures, teacher assignments will not be available at MAZE Day, but will be mailed to all families through USPS.) 

• Harvest Festival is BACK and better than ever! Be sure to mark your calendar for TWO spooktacular nights of Harvest Festival, October 20 and 21. Keep an eye out for much more information coming soon.
