Harvest Festival (normally end of October of every year before Halloween)
Every year, McKinley PTA hosts one of the largest events in Burlingame. Students and parents from McKinley and our local community (including BIS, BHS, Crocker, and other local schools) will volunteer to put on one of the biggest events in the city. We'll have quality food, games for all ages, obstacle courses, the famous Haunted House and Lil Boos, and our annual auction with donations from the community, families and teachers.
This fundraiser is the majority of the funds the PTA will use to operate programs, staff appreciation, Bulldog Ball, field trips, activities, and much much more throughout the school year.

Corporate and Employer Matching
Double or triple your personal donation with an employer match. Find out from your employer if they will match your donation! Often that is reaching out to your HR Benefits, Philanthropy or Tax departments.

Business/Family Partnerships
We love our community! Much of our local businesses have students at our BSD schools! Businesses can partner with us in two ways:
- Harvest Festival: Our silent auction and day-of events is the best way to advertise! Our event is in October and will have an audience of over 2000 people and the best way to partner with us. If you want to learn more, email harvestfestivalauction@mckinleybulldogs.com,
- Sponsored Nights: Restaurants and businesses donate a portion of their profits from sponsored events. Our fundraising@mckinleybulldogs.com team organizes these in partnership with our community.
- In-kind Donations: Businesses provide donations such as food for events or services like a photo booth for a dance. fundraising@mckinleybulldogs.com we able to provide gift certificates, sweepstake awards, raffle prizes and more last year from local businesses. We acknowledge these businesses publicly to encourage further support through our community newsletter (with an active audience of over 1000+ local parents), on campus and through promotion.

Volunteer Hours Match
Does your company or organization offer Volunteer Hours Match? Not sure? Please ask or encourage your organization to create the initiative. Similar to Corporate Matching, some companies will offer additional time off to you for volunteering at McKinley or donate money for those hours to McKinley directly.

If so, sign up, link your credit cards, and select McKinley Elementary School as your charity organization. These merchants will donate 4% of all your purchases back to the school. You do not need to do any additional work other than register and link your cards. Merchants will automatically donate when you use your card for purchases.
